Accompanying two current exhibitions by River Valley Arts Collective at the Al Held Foundation, Requiem (1996) is presently on view in Held's former painting studio. This immense canvas from Held's "Luminous Constructs" period measures 15 by 30 feet, and is the center panel of a monumental triptych. Last exhibited at MoMA PS1 in 2002, this late work features incredible detail and complexity.
